This guide will look at the two ways to add a note to a case and where notes can be viewed and who by.
Please note: In order to add a note to a conveyancing case you will need to have created a conveyancing case. Read this guide for help creating a conveyancing case.
Add a note to a case
There are two ways to add a note to a case.
1. Add a note to a task from the workflow. Do this by hovering over a given task and clicking add note.
2. Add a note to a task from within the task itself. Do this by clicking the add note button within the notes section of a task.
When writing the note there is a drop down menu that will give you your 5 most common notes.
You can make your notes either private or public. A private note can only be viewed by you and your company, while a public note can be viewed by anyone tracking the case.
Any notes you make can then be viewed in both the note section of a given task and also the general notes section of the case itself.
