How do I complete my ID check?

If you’re a client, you may have been asked by your solicitor to provide your identification documents for an AML check. This guide will show you how to deal with that request.

You will receive an email from you solicitor asking you to complete an AML check. It will look like this.

You can click on the green button to go through this process. Alternatively, you can click the blue link underneath to be taken to the same area.

If you’ve never been on Hoowla before you’ll be asked to sign up and make an account. This process is very simple and after you’re done you’ll be taken to the start of the AML journey. Click on the start button to begin.

First you need to upload a portrait photo of yourself. Click inside the segmented green box to upload it. Some photos can take a few minutes to upload so be patient.

You’ll then be asked to provide your location. You can choose to use an accurate location which will get your location based on the device you’re using to complete this AML journey. So, if you were doing this at a coffee shop, your location would be that coffee shop. For this reason, it’s best to this at home. Or you can use an estimated location which gets the same general area but is less accurate.

You then need to choose a form of ID to upload.

Lastly, you need to upload a proof of address document. You may be required to upload 2 but the process is the same.

Once done you’ll see this screen. You can now close down the tab.
